The Ruthvens Announce More Than 340,000 Sq. Ft. of New Warehouse Space

Lakeland, FL – The Ruthvens – Central Florida’s warehouse specialists – is adding more than 340,000 square feet of warehouse space to their 4 million square foot portfolio. The properties include:

  • 4040 North Combee Road (101,010 sq. ft.)   – completed Q3 2021 – 81% Leased
  • 3950 Anchuca Drive  (27,300 sq. ft.)    – completed Q3 2021 – 100% Leased
  • 2845 Drane Field Road (104,000 sq. ft.)   – estimated completion Q2 2022 – 50% Leased
  • 4720 Gateland Drive (109,200 sq. ft.)   – estimated completion Q3 2022

“Since 2015, we’ve added a total of 836,000 sq. ft. to our portfolio,” said The Ruthvens Chairman & CEO Greg Ruthven. “Adding this additional space has allowed us to support growth in Lakeland from our existing customers and from new companies moving to Central Florida. Helping our tenants expand, grow, hire more employees — that’s certainly exciting to us.”

The Ruthvens’ 90 buildings are home to over 325 tenants currently. The Ruthvens plan to continue catering to companies looking for anywhere from 1,000 – 200,000 square feet of space.

“We’re going to stay with tenants that require smaller space requirements relative to the large distribution facilities,” said Clark. “We enjoy helping companies grow and expand as their businesses evolve. Working with businesses starting off needing 5,000 or 10,000 square feet and then growing to 20,000 or 25,000 square feet over time is very rewarding.”

Currently, there are over 10.5 million people within 100 miles of Lakeland and 20 million within a five-hour drive. Lakeland is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando, less than 40 miles from either city. Florida sees a growth rate of more than 1,000 people a day and is home to the Interstate-4 Corridor. The Ruthvens have continued to grow in and around Lakeland, with plans to expand further throughout Central Florida.
